Hi! I love your ramblings! I always grin when I see your comments, seriously.
It seemed interesting to me to switch up the roles a bit. In the movie Charles was trying to get Erik to understand he was offering him a place to belong to, but Erik never really felt like he belonged, I think. It was more of a pause in his revenge, a space to breath some air before diving back in. I always wondered how it would look like if Erik did feel like he belonged since the begginning. It would have given him to time to explore Charles himself more, I think.
Yes, Erik does know how to go about this--insist, push Charlesd beyond his comfort zone, and simply impose his company until Charles considers him as much an extension of himself as Raven, *then* make his move. So long as Chyarles does nothing about his deterioration, Shaw´s winning, you know? That drives Erik crazy.
Thank you!
Oh, and now that you mention it, I did think of animals. I think for one the fur would give Charles some protection, but there´s also the fact that animal and human minds are not alike. Charles would be able to tell how his mind is different, and tell where the animal´s mind is, apart from his. Maybe that would be some kind of solace, too, only... not enough, I think. But you gave me an idea for a scene now, so thanks for that!
